Sindhu to Bolster Moonbug’s Business Growth in Asia-Pacific Region
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - November 6, 2025 - Moonbug Entertainment, a part of Candle Media, today announced that it has hired Amrita Sindhu as Head of Distribution and Partnerships in APAC. Sindhu’s hire comes as the global entertainment company continues its expansion in the region through both originals and distribution of blockbuster shows such as CoComelon, Blippi and Little Angel. In her new role, she will focus on new business initiatives in APAC including partnerships in the educational sector. Sindhu will report to Nicolas Eglau, Moonbug’s Managing Director of EMEA, APAC & Global Distribution.
Bringing over 20 years of experience spanning NBCUniversal, CNBC International, FremantleMedia, and Discovery Communications, Sindhu has led large scale regional operations across Asia-Pacific, managing large-scale P&Ls and delivering sustained revenue growth. Throughout her career, she has forged long-term strategic partnerships with leading broadcasters, telcos and digital platforms across key APAC markets.

The news comes after several months of ramping up Moonbug’s growth in APAC. Earlier this year, Moonbug launched Blippi Singapore, an adaptation of the popular series exploring Singaporean landmarks and culture, in partnership with Mediacorp. Moonbug also recently launched its first channel in Australia in partnership with Fetch TV, and announced a new partnership with Sanrio. Last year, Moonbug launched the Moonbug Channel in Hong Kong and Indonesia and also introduced its first “Blippi & Friends” channel in Asia through its partnership with Astro in Malaysia.
