Moonbug Celebrates Ten Years of Blippi Adventures with Exciting New Collaborations, Content and Live Entertainment

Reebok, NASA, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Spin Master Entertainment, tonies® and Sesame Street Top a List of Partnerships and Collaborations in Celebration of Blippi’s 10-year Milestone 

LAS VEGAS – May 21, 2024 — Moonbug Entertainment, part of Candle Media, today announced a year-long celebration for the 10th anniversary of the Blippi franchise with new consumer products partnerships, exciting new content and guest appearances, as well as new live shows and meet & greets. Fans of the brand can look forward to special Blippi moments this year including a new footwear collaboration with Reebok, a new vehicle-themed series, can’t-miss special episodes from NASA in Houston to Wimbledon in the U.K., and live experiences where they can interact with the beloved characters in person.

Blippi ignites curiosity in children all over the world by turning real-world learning into playful adventures. Blippi has become a worldwide sensation with more than one billion monthly views across platforms and millions of fans around the world.

NEW CONSUMER PRODUCTS:

Moonbug has secured some of the most robust product collaborations for the Blippi franchise in 2024, with partners such as Build-A-Bear Workshop, tonies® and Simple Modern launching products earlier this year. 

Brand new collaborations will hit shelves later this year, including:

  • a footwear collaboration with Reebok and

  • a bamboo sleepwear and apparel collection from Bums and Roses.

Additionally, at the end of 2023, Moonbug Entertainment awarded the Blippi global master toy license to Spin Master. Toys and games from the license will hit shelves in 2025.  

NEW CONTENT:

Moonbug is taking Blippi and Meekah on new adventures for the 10th anniversary, with an exciting content pipeline of new shows, specials, partnerships and collaborations.  

  • Back in February, Blippi and Sesame Street partnered for the very first time. The 3-part special kicked off with Sesame Street favorites Elmo and Abby joining the Blippi-verse in a thrilling episode. Additional episodes will launch in June and September this year. This partnership extended to Sesame Place theme parks as well as Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, where fans can enjoy meet & greet experiences.

  • Coming up in June, Blippi will feature in special episodes filmed at NASA. Blippi will share fascinating facts about space when he visits the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston

  • A few weeks later, budding tennis players can watch two episodes surrounding The Championships, Wimbledon – the oldest of the four tennis Grand Slams and the only one played on grass.

  • Blippi fans who missed the latest live stage tour will be able to enjoy “Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour” from the comfort of their homes on YouTube and Hulu this coming July.  In the show, Blippi and special guest Meekah discover what makes different cities unique and special through song and dance. 

  • Then in the summer, Blippi’s special 10th anniversary celebrations come to the show on YouTube, where fans can enjoy larger-than-life stunt episodes featuring Blippi's Biggest Ballpit Ever and Blippi's Candy Escape Challenge.

  • In October, Blippi will get into the spooky season spirit with a 60-minute Halloween special.   

  • And the following month, a new Blippi vehicle-themed series called “Go Go Blippi Show” will delight young automotive fans. This series features several world-class brands, including Monster Jam®, which hosted Blippi and Meekah at their World Finals® event at Sofi Stadium.

NEW LIVE EXPERIENCES:

Blippi live experiences bring the brand to life around the world through multi-sensory play: through seeing, touching, hearing, singing and dancing. Whether it’s a stage production, a meet & greet or location-based activities, these experiences result in lifelong memories that families can enjoy together. This year fans can look forward to more touchpoints with this beloved brand. 

  • Moonbug and Round Room recently announced a new live show, "Blippi: Join the Band Tour”, which launches in the U.S. & Canada Fall 2024. The production features musicians playing Blippi tunes and more LIVE on stage. It promises to bring the energetic and educational antics of Blippi to stages across North America in a never-before-seen show focusing on music education. 

  • Following the success of the 2023 Olivier Award nominated debut, “Blippi: The Musical, “Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour” returns to the West End this summer for 10 weeks of performances and will also tour South East Asia and the Middle East.
